Effect of Opening in Shear Wall in Regular Multi Story Building
Shear walls are introduced in present era to design tall buildings to make the structural system more efficient in resisting the horizontal loads that arises from wind and earthquake. Shear walls are increase the stiffness and rigidity of buildings system. To fulfil the functional requirements such as door, window and other openings .In this present study the main focus is to determine the effectiveness of shear wall with regular and staggered opening in regular building under earthquake loads with the help of time history method of analysis on ETABS software. In present condition the population growth of country like India multi story buildings are necessary for providing shelter to everyone. In multi-storey building shear wall play an important role in designing the building safe and durable.
