IOT based Smart Way Improving Soil Fertility by Educating the Farmers

Abstract
Soil fertility is an important factor which influences agricultural production to a greater extent. In India farmers are less knowledgeable regarding scientific and advanced farming, sometimes they are least bothered about maintaining soil fertility, they do not have much ideas about proportion of different nutrients and mineral level, pH level and moisture level in the soil to be maintained to grow crops. In India there is an agricultural department established by government to give proper guidance to the farmers about scientific farming and to educate them regarding improving soil fertility. Due to lack of proper communication between farmers and agricultural department, farmers are not making use of all the facilities provided by government. In this module we are trying to achieve proper communication between farmers and agricultural department in educating farmers regarding scientific ways of farming to improve soil fertility. Module uses different sensors to measure different nutrients level like nitrites, phosphorus, potassium, pH level and moisture level in the soil and if the nutrients values are less than the minimum optimum threshold value then this information are send to the agricultural department. By these collected data and statics the agriculture department can directly inform the respective farmers and educate them properly regarding the ways of improving soil fertility, type and ways of using fertilizers pesticides and efficient irrigation method, so as to improve soil fertility, which will ultimately help in increasing agriculture production.
