Paper Title
Evaluation of Preprocessing Required for Developing SOA based Version Recommendation Engine

Abstract
Service Oriented Architecture has been growing in a rapid pace in different dimensions. Change is inevitable. Technological advancements both in hardware and software play a vital role in effecting changes in the software. Changes to the existing software are called as versions. In order to distinguish between the changes in existing and the new software which have same functionality, versioning methods are used. It is necessary that the new versions should be able to satisfy the expectations of the service consumers. The Version Recommendation Engine that is to be constructed is intended to identify the shortcomings of the existing Web Service version based on QoS attributes, user ratings, and then recommend the desired changes to the service providers. During the process of constructing the engine, it is necessary to evaluate the performance of the engine with the available data. A good quality data has a direct impact on the quality of results. This paper aims at identifying and evaluating the different preprocessing that are required for preparing the data to be used in the Version Recommendation Engine. Keywords - SOA, Web Service, Versioning, Preprocessing, Clustering.
