Structured Neural Networks for Online Eigen Structure Assignment

Abstract
To improve the stability performance and response form of MIMO systems, mode control is relevant to enforcing project specifications. A bioinspired method for on-line eigenstructure assignment for the design of multivariate control systems is presented in this paper. The method is based on artificial neural networks for the execution of the control law and for the training of controller gains by state feedback. In order to tune the state space controllers, the gain matrix that satisfies all the project specifications, a proposal is presented to calculate the gain matrices that best meet a certain operational range of MIMO dynamic systems. The proposal evaluates a multivariate system that represents the lateral-directional control of an F-16 aircraft. Keywords - Eigenstructure Assignment, Online Control, Artificial Neural Networks.
