Disability Inclusion through Business Innovation: A Case Study

Abstract
A business model becomes successful when it has a social impact. Yum! Restaurants have not only employed persons with hearing and speech impairment but have been successful in incorporating them at every level of business through use of technology, and inclusive policies and practices. They have proved that inclusion goes much beyond creating accessible workplaces and adaptive structures for the employees with special needs. Inclusion should begin from the recruiting process, and should continue to reflect in training, professional advancement opportunities, policies and practices. The paper describes the inclusive practices adopted by Yum! Restaurant India Pvt. Ltd. in their KFC outlets.
