During the routine anatomical cadaveric dissection performed for undergraduate medical students, it was observed that, an unusual lower extent of the right crus of diaphragm was present. The left crus was normal in morphology and length. We are of opinion that knowledge of present case report, will give an sound knowledge and awareness to the clinicians and researchers. The embryological basis and clinical implications are discussed.
