Paper Title
Reliable Transmission of EEG Signal in Tele-Medicine

Abstract
The field of health care has changed drastically in the last two decades. Around the world, people are living longer and healthier lives because of organized, well developed health care facilities including 'At Home' hospitals especially for patients suffering from Parkinson's and Alzheimer diseases. A new paradigm of treatment is initial consultation with remotely seated doctors / specialists aptly termed as Telemedicine. EEG signal is one of the important bio-medical signals that defines the mental health of human beings which is also used in several other applications. Continuous monitoring the physical health condition of the patients is required for patients suffering from Parkinson's and Alzheimer diseases. Considering the properties of EEG data, high-dimensional and multichannel, efficient turbo coding is done. A Log MAP (Maximum a Posteriori) decoding algorithm is employed to recover the original EEG signal. Keywords - Electroencephalography (EEG), Turbo Coding, Maximum a Posteriori, Additive White Gaussian Noise
