Paper Title
A Zig-Zag Slot Low-Profile Patch Antenna with Shorting VIAS for Vehicular Applications

Abstract
The main goal of this project is to provide an efficient and suitable method for antenna performance which is carried under realistic conditions by using Zigzag slot with diagonal vias for vehicular applications capable of operating in resonant frequency ranging from 2 GHz to 5 GHz. The antenna consists of a rectangular patch with microstrip feed line given to zigzag slots which are placed on four distinct positions on the patch and a diagonal line of vias are inserted on the patch to restrict the current to the edges. The antenna is firmly fixed on a TLC substrate fed with microstrip feed resistance of 50 Ω impedance. The proposed antenna is designed and analyzed with the help of HFSS software and the simulation results show that zigzag slot low profile printed patch antenna with operating frequency of 2.45 GHz – 5 GHz has been achieved with omni directional radiation pattern with efficient gain, VSWR and return loss.
