Abstract
Everycitizenhas right to live with dignity andintegrity. Such rightis also known ashuman rightswhich belong to an individual as consequences ofbeing ahuman being.Protection against poverty,inequality anddiscrimination is necessary for allround development of society. The right to equality isenshrined underArticle 14 of Constitution of India, whereas Article 15 providesprotection againstdiscrimination onthe ground of religion, sex, raceetc. Indian fiction in English has also contributedsubstantially towards protection of human rights. Theaim of literature, however, is to create awareness andcause motivation among people for protection ofhuman rights R.K.
