Abstract
Abstract - Melissa officianalis is a perennial herb native to the native to south-central Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, Iran, and Central Asia, but now naturalised elsewhere. It has been traditionally used for its citrus scent and flavor in the cosmetic, food, perfumery industries among others. In this review we focus on its utility for medicinal purposes, and tackling PMS symptoms and Dysmenorrhea. PMS, or, premenstrual syndrome is a prolonged illness that has been affecting more than 75% of menstruators in India and other countries.
