Abstract
Abstract - Voltaire was one of the famous french philosophers of the Enlightenment period. He was a believer of the God that was not defined by the priests. He opposed the stereotypes and superstitions created by the church and by so called religious institutions that were misguiding people. He wanted to free the people from the fear of God. He was not an atheist but a believer of natural God. He dedicated his whole life to fight against fanaticism and intolerance.
