Impact of Cell Phone on Teenagers

Abstract
Electronic gadgets have become integral part of children's life in this 21st century. And cell phone is one of them, after television they are so many other media resources like cell phone, iPod, video games, messaging, social media network sites and e-mail. During teenage communication and connectedness with compeers is a requisite part of teens for self-identity. The presented research focused to examine extent of cell phone usage and its impact on academic performance. A survey was conducted among 100 college going students of Maa Narmada Mahavidhyalay, Dhamnod to get results. While selecting the samples two criteria were considered. The participants should be college going students and cell phone users. The outcomes of study suggest that cell phone usage sidetracks the academic performance of the students as they stuck with the mobile phone for long time and mobile phone usage have also become an addiction for teens. But this study also says that cell phone has some positive impact like it enhances their connectivity with family and peers and also allow them to access to educational apps, e-books and online resources.
