Paper Title
Harmonic Reduction in Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Defected Ground Structure

Abstract
In this paper, the defected ground structure (DGS) is employed to mitigate higher order harmonics within a microstrip patch antenna. By incorporating a ground defect resembling the letter H and two broad rectangular slots, a band stop filter feature is achieved. The DGS enhances the reduction of radiated power at harmonic frequencies in the patch antenna as compared to a conventional microstrip patch antenna lacking the DGS.
