QOSTBC-NOMA Assisted Wireless Communication System

Abstract
We propose a transmission scheme that is a combination of Quasi-orthogonal space-time block code (QOSTBC) structure and Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) techniques. Specifically, we use the QOSTBC structure for transmission of the symbols; each symbol contains the information of two users by utilizing NOMA based technique. It is shown in the paper that the code rate of the proposed scheme is more than one, and it performs better than the conventional NOMA, time division multiples technique, and existing highrate code-based communication system. The effectiveness of the proposed communication system is assessed by using pair-wise error probability and diversity order.
