Abstract
The rapid expansion of online education has revolutionized the traditional educational landscape. The global shift towards digital learning environments, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has highlighted the importance of understanding the acceptance of online education among various stakeholders. This review aims to synthesize the current research on the acceptance of online education, focusing on students, educators, administrators, and policymakers, to identify key factors influencing acceptance and potential barriers. This research article aims to analyze the current landscape of online education in India, highlighting the key challenges, opportunities, and the way forward and explores the current status, challenges, opportunities, and future outlook of online education in India as of 2024.
