PLC BASED PRODUCT SORTING MACHINE USING COLOUR SENSOR

Abstract
This research paper presents a comprehensive investigation of the application of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology in conjunction with the integration of color sensors for product sorting systems. It investigates the development and implementation of a PLC-based sorting machine using color sensors to accurately and efficiently identify products based on their color attributes. The system architecture includes PLC programming logic along with color sensing capabilities to sort products on conveyor belts in real time. The study delves into the design and functionality of the sorting machine, detailing its components, operational workflow and programming logic. Through experimentation and analysis, the efficiency and reliability of the PLC-based sorting system is evaluated, demonstrating its ability to accurately process different types of products and colors. In addition, the research looks at the potential applications and benefits of PLC-based product sorting, including increased productivity, reduced errors, and improved efficiency in manufacturing processes.
