Understanding the Relationship between Childhood Trauma, Fear of Happiness and Resilience

Abstract
This correlational study aimed to understand the relationship between childhood trauma, fear of happiness, and resilience, while also examining gender differences in childhood trauma. A sample of 159 participants (82 males, 77 females) completed self-report measures, which included The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-short form (CTQ-SF), Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), and Fear of Happiness Scale (FHS). Results revealed a correlation between fear of happiness, resilience and childhood trauma. Between males and females, no significant differences were found in CTQ-SF scores.
