Motifs of Alienation in the Poetry of Arab Poets

Abstract
This paper delves into the profound themes of solitude, death, and old age as motifs of alienation in the poetry of Arab poets, exploring how these themes intersect with feelings of estrangement, isolation, and existential contemplation. Through a nuanced analysis of selected poems by Arab poets spanning different epochs and regions, this study examines how notions of solitude, mortality, and the passage of time are intricately woven into the fabric of poetic expressions of alienation. Through an in-depth analysis of these motifs, this study seeks to deepen our appreciation of the rich tapestry of Arab poetic traditions and the timeless relevance of poetry as a medium for grappling with the complexities of the human condition.
