EXPLORING KEY INFLUENCING FACTORS OF AI TOOL USAGE AMONG TEACHERS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN LUCKNOW CITY

Abstract
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in education has emerged as a significant area of both academic research and practical implementation. As AI technologies evolve, their impact on teaching and learning processes becomes increasingly transformative. This growing interest highlights the need to explore how educators use these tools across various types of educational institutions. This study examines the factors influencing the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) tools among teachers in higher education institutions in Lucknow City, comparing private and government institutions. An exploratory research design with a quantitative approach was used and primary data was collected from a sample of 461 teachers across government and private higher education institutions in Lucknow using quota sampling. Data analysis includedfactor analysis & chi-square tests using SPSS version 25. Results showed that there exists a significant difference between the type of institution (Government or Private) and the level of use of AI-based tools among teachers. This underlines the need for tailored strategies to enhance AI tool adoption in different institutional contexts, aiming to bridge the gap in technology utilization.
