A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW PAPER ON COMPOSITE AUTOMOBILE BRAKE MATERIALS USING BIO-WASTE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Abstract
The demand for the materials with lighter weight and environmental sustainability has shone brighter in the recent decades. Many newer materials have been developed and existing materials are modified so as to promote greener environment. As the manufacturing industries are moving towards greener practices, the automotive industries has given significant attention to the development of sustainable composite brake. Earlier the vehicle's braking system was produced from materials whose fabrication and disposal can exert substantial ecological strain. The current manuscript highlights the various traditional materials used for making brakes as well as its impact on environment. It furthermore highlights the innovative strides adopted by various researchers for development of sustainable brakes. It provides special focus to the various composites developed from the bio-waste for the use as brake fabricated with lighter materials like aluminum and its alloys.
