Paper Title
LORAWAN BASED IOT DEPLOYMENT FOR A SUSTAINABLE URBAN DRAINAGE SYSTEM (SUDS)

Abstract
This paper presents the development and deployment of a LoRaWAN-based IoT system for a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) at the University of A Coruña, Spain. The system integrates low-cost microcontrollers and various environmental sensors to monitor water quality, soil parameters, and rainfall in real-time. Data collected from these sensors are transmitted using LoRaWAN technology to a centralized backend, where it is processed and stored in a PostgreSQL database. A web application, built with Angular, provides users with access to general project information, the location and characteristics of different installations, and the specific devices used at each site. This system has proven reliable, collecting millions of data records to date, and offers a comprehensive platform for effective monitoring, analysis, and management of urban drainage systems, thereby enhancing urban resilience and environmental sustainability. Continuous monitoring and data analysis are essential for optimizing SUDS performance and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
