Paper Title
TRANSITION FROM CROP CULTIVATION TO HORTICULTURE: EXPLORING THE MOTIVATIONS BEHIND FARMERS' SHIFT

Abstract
This review paper is dedicated to our Annadataa, the Indian farmers, who have made the country self-sufficient, justifying their title as food providers. Agriculture is a broad field under which pomology, the study and management of fruit crops, falls. Many farmers never went to school or college, yet they possess more knowledge and experience than many literate people. Farmers are true friends of nature. Nowadays, in India, farmers are taking an interest in horticultural crop cultivation. This review explores why this trend is occurring and examines its positive and negative aspects. India already leads in cereal production and export worldwide. What if India also leads in fruit production and export? This review delves into the growing trends in horticulture crop cultivation, focusing on technological innovations, sustainable practices, economic impacts, and adaptation to climate change.
