INFLUENCE OF RELIGIOUS COMMITMENT AND SELF CONCEPT ON IT PROFESSIONALS WORK RELATED QUALITY OF LIFE
Abstract
Work Related Quality of life is an important aspect of an employee’s life. To achieve this an individual uses few other psychological constructs such as Religious Commitment and Self Concept. From ages it is believed that people use religious commitment is used as the coping mechanism to improve once self-concept in turn this will contribute to Work Related Quality of Life of an individual. The present study tries to examine the influence of Religious Commitment and Self Concept on IT professionals Work Related Quality of Life. The sample of this study consisted of 200 IT Professionals, Religious Commitment Inventory by Everett L. Worthington et.al., Self-Concept Scale(SCQ 18) by Martin Dolejš et.al., and Work related Quality of Life Scale by Simon Easton & Darren were used to collect the Data. The obtained results were organized for statistical analysis using SPSS Software. Correlation Analysis is used to find the relationship between the variables i.e. Religious Commitment , Self-Concept and Work-Related Quality of Life. Results obtained shows that there is a Negative strong correlation between Religious commitment and Work-Related Quality of Life. Self-Concept Variable did not correlate with any of the variables.
