Abstract
Frugal fire detection and firefighting devices aim to provide an affordable and efficient solution for early fire detection and response, particularly in resource-limited settings. Utilizing cost-effective components such as Arduino microcontrollers, smoke sensors, and mini submersible pumps, these devices offer a reliable alternative to traditional systems. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology enhances their capabilities by enabling real-time monitoring, remote alerts, and automated response mechanisms. This project focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive system that can detect fire hazards quickly and initiate appropriate firefighting measures, minimizing damage and ensuring safety. Future enhancements will include advanced sensor integration, improved connectivity, enhanced power management, smart firefighting mechanisms, and user education. These innovations aim to further enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of fire safety solutions, contributing significantly to reducing fire-related losses and improving overall safety standards worldwide.
