EFFECT OF LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION ON HEALTH-RELATED QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS WITH AUTO IMMUNE DISEASES

Abstract
Aim: This study aims to investigate how lifestyle modifications affect patients with autoimmune diseases' Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL)to shed light on the possible advantages of individualized lifestyle interventions in addition to pharmaceutical therapies. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine how lifestyle modification affects HRQoL in autoimmune disease patients, with the hope of providing useful insights for improving overall well-being in conjunction with medical interventions. Methodology: This study employs a one-group pre-test and post-test experimental design with a sample size of 100 participants. The intervention consists of an eight-week lifestyle modification programme. The assessments include an SF-36 questionnaire, vital signs, and medical history. This study's objective is to determine the impact of HRQoL on patients with autoimmune diseases. Results: Overall health (82.0%, p=0.022), vitality (75.2%, p=0.036), social functioning (77.2%, p=0.047), role emotional (79.9%, p=0.019), bodily pain (54.8%, p=0.012), physical functioning (70.2%, p=0.023), and mental health (79.3%, p=0.038) all showed significant improvements in HRQoL after this study. Conclusion: Patients with autoimmune diseases experience significant improvements in HRQoL when their lifestyle is changed. The positive results in a variety of areas highlight the potential benefits of incorporating customized lifestyle changes into medical interventions.
