Paper Title
Impact of Yoga on Aggression Among Adolescents
Abstract
Adolescence is characterized by profound emotional, psychological, and physical changes that frequently result in increased impulsivity and aggressiveness. Teenage aggression is a serious problem since it can impact their social interactions, academic achievement, and general mental well-being. Yoga, an age-old discipline that incorporates physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation, may be a useful tool for controlling aggression in this population, according to recent studies. Investigating how yoga affects teenagers' levels of hostility is the goal of this essay. By reviewing the literature, we investigate how regular yoga practice can improve self-awareness, emotional regulation, and calmness, all of which can help prevent violent behaviour. We also go into the physiological processes that could be responsible for these alterations, including better control of the autonomic nervous system and lower cortisol levels. In order to promote the mental health of adolescents, the study also emphasizes the possible advantages of using yoga in therapeutic programs and school curriculum. The results suggest that yoga could be a useful, non-pharmacological strategy for lowering aggression, enhancing emotional fortitude, and fostering teenagers' general wellbeing.
