Team-Based Learning: An Innovative Learning and Implementation Strategy in IBSE
Abstract
This paper is purely to explore the learning processes specifically to integrate Team-Based Learning (TBL) by using innovative strategies, approaches, methods, and techniques within Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE). TBL in particular, fosters collaborative learning by engaging students in small group activities with similar orvarious activities whereby they apply the conceptually gathered and understood knowledge to solve complex problems. The approach is structured around teamwork, individual accountability,and immediate feedback, promoting deeper understanding and retention of concepts based on knowledge acquired.The paper emphasizes and highlights the importance of effective teamwork leading towards creativity, and innovation collectively and coherently according to the objectives set to be achieved.It is also graduallyto developand enhance this TBL to be used extensively.This will lead them to one stageto discover and develop many skills unknown to them to be unearthed.It will lead them to have different mindsetsin managing various skills through actions and involvement.It gives them the opportunities to explore their potential in all aspects tediously and indulge themselves with the task assigned.They can also independentlycontribute and share their ideas to be usedin theirAction-Based Learning activities creatively and cohesively as discussed and planned.It will create a trusted-based learning environment as everyone in the group are contributor. The researchalso highlights the benefits of TBL in promoting student-centered learning, enhancing engagement, and driving educational innovation by collaborating ideas and planning that leads to a successful and fulfilling end product. The findings suggest that TBL can transform teaching and learning practices to be more effective, stimulating collaboration by sharing inputs, and alsoimprove academic excellence and get the desired outcomes. It is also one way or another to address the challenges related to high-fidelity Simulation-Based Learning.In this world of acquiring knowledgechallenges are inevitable and it is believed that with the continued exploration and implementation of TBL and IBSE, many new innovative and creative successes can be achieved.It has great potential to excel and to lead others.TBL and IBSE haveproved to the world of discovery through their participation and contributions.Hope it will be continuously to be carried out and implemented and also to be highlighted to get the attention of the stakeholders and its advocates.
