Block Scholar: Block Chain-Enabled Automated Scholarship Distribution

Abstract
Traditional scholarship distribution is full of inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and bottlenecks from the administration of scholarships. This paper proposes a new avenue of distribution using immutable leader technology provided by the blockchain technology. Our system streamlines the current distribution process and automated the task of administrators to distribute scholarships as per the recipient.It offers a transparent avenue, where scholars can apply for the funds and donating institutions can track the progress and distribution of funds. It offers higher efficiency and security. This also reduces the layer between the donating institution and scholars to one. The cost of distribution decreases and increases the trust between both.Our system utilizes the smart contracts of blockchain in Ethereum and record each transaction of fund-transfer. The platform offers multiple features like direct interaction between donating institutions, educational institutions, and students.
