Paper Title
Drainage Monitoring and Alert System Using Iot – Smart Village Using IoT
Abstract
Field tests conducted in rural areas show that the method greatly improves drainage problem identification, speeds up response times, and minimizes damage to rural infrastructure and agricultural grounds. According to the findings, DMAS provides a flexible, affordable way to enhance flood control in rural regions, promoting sustainable farming methods and community resilience. Significant dangers to agriculture, livelihoods, and infrastructure are posed by flooding in rural regions, which is frequently caused by poor drainage infrastructure. This problem is addressed with the Drainage Monitoring and Alert System (DMAS), which offers real-time monitoring and warning methods designed specifically for rural areas. In rural locations, where there may be less maintenance and monitoring and a higher risk of system blockages and overflows, the system uses sensors, such as flow meters and water level detectors, to continuously monitor drainage conditions. A central platform receives the data via Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which enables real-time drainage performance analysis. In order to enable prompt response, predictive algorithms evaluate possible obstructions or overflows and provide early alerts.
