Heat Transfer Analysis of a Convective – Radiative Moving Fin Attached to A β -type of Stirling Engine
Abstract
In this article we study heat – transfer analysis of a conductive -convective – radiative moving fin with temperature – dependent thermal conductivity, and internal heat generation, under transient conditions. The mathematical model developed has been solved by, FERK (4,5) scheme. The whole analysis is presented in non – dimensional form and the effect of variability of different parameters with respect to non – dimensional space coordinate and Fourier number are shown graphically. The method has been further explored for future application of increasing efficiency of β – type Stirling engines. Notable observations include developing relation between fin parameters and their effect on engineering applications, such as cooling of β – type Stirling engine.
