Fuelchain: A Decentralized secure Blockchain Based Solution for Enhancing Bunker Fuel Traceability in Real Time.

Abstract
Blockchain(BC)is acting as a transformative force which isfast emerging as a disruptive global technology with enormous potential to drive modernization across diverse sectors such as finance, E-Governance, home automation and energy. Sprouting from its earlyinnovation in digital currency transactions, blockchain has matured into a secure, decentralized and reliable platform capable of delivering programmable, traceable, sustainable and transparent ecosystems.Conventional oceanic networks were burdened by centralized authorities and intermediaries leading to several inefficiencies, delays and vulnerabilities. Furthermore, complexities of international trade, technological adoption barriers and stringent environmental regulations further increased the concerns regarding data integrity, transparency and confidentiality.Our study known as FuelChainproposes a permissioned blockchain integrated with consensus-based mechanism to enhance fuel traceability and quality assurance in maritime systems. By recording fuel origin and quality data as immutable transactions on a distributed ledger, stakeholders can securely verify compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations. The system employs two optimized Ethereum smart contracts for violation monitoring and fuel traceability. Real-time IoT data ingestion enables detection accuracy for sulphur breaches, with PoA consensus ensuring finality for port authority validators.
