BIOMETRIC VOTING MACHINE BASED ON FACE RECOGNITION AND FINGERPRINT VERIFICATION USING RASPBERRY PI
Abstract
The Indian constitution allows the citizens to exercise their right to vote. As elections decide the nation's future, a reliable voting system is vital. The traditional voting methods that include both paper ballots and electronic voting machines, have numerous drawbacks and concerns with trust. A sophisticated system is created using Raspberry Pi, Face Recognition module and Fingerprint verification module to eliminate fraud and malpractice in the above listed voting methods. In this system, a person has to register their fingerprint ID and face ID with the system which will be centrally stored in Raspberry Pi. The head of an organisation who holds the position of public interest is chosen by the maximum number of votes in various organisations, educational institutions, and cooperative banks. This project incorporates a simple hardware design and a user friendly approach. This system follows a modular approach and is designed for flexible use.
