IoT-BASED THERMAL VISION RC TANK FOR HUMAN DETECTION IN DISASTER AREA USING RASPBERRY PI
Abstract
In this modern era of technology, conventional methods such as using human personnel and trained dogs are still widely employed to locate and rescue victims in challenging conditions—such as darkness, smoke, clutter, or those buried under rubble after natural or human-made disasters. Offering a revolutionary solution, the Thermal Vision RC tank outperforms traditional search methods during rescue operations. Compared to current approaches, this robot excels at locating individuals in hazardous environments. The thermal vision camera enables the robot to identify human presence even in conditions where standard cameras are ineffective. A major advantage of this system is its integration of remote control functionality, allowing operators to precisely navigate the robot through complex terrains. The key features of this system include the incorporation of a thermal camera, GPS tracking, IoT technology, and Telegram-based communication, which together enable real-time data exchange and remote monitoring.
