Paper Title
Evaluating The Competitive Advantages of ESG Framework Implementation Towards Sustainability and Strategic Growth of the Indian Steel Industry
Abstract
The study analyses the effectiveness of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) models on operational performance, environmental performance, and competitive performance in the Indian steel sector. With the growing sustainability requirements of the world and the move of India towards the goal of going DE carbonization, steel companies are under pressure to incorporate the concept of ESG in their strategic and operational processes. The study is based on a quantitative investigation, during which primary data is gathered among 150 managerial employees and ESG officers working in the public, private, and joint-venture steel corporations. The regression analysis reveals that the positive impact of ESG practices on the operational efficiency and environmental performance are significant, making sustainable technologies and responsible governance powerful factors that areused to enhance the outcomes of the industrial performance. The outcomes of correlation analysis also affirm that the ESG performance is neither negative nor negative, but moderate and positively relates to the competitive advantage of steel companies, which implies that a high level of ESG practice increases the trust of investors, their niche, and their sustainability in the long run. The study adds an empirical rationale to the growing study on the topic that shows that ESG integration is not compliance-based anymore but it is a strategic necessity that defines the future of the steel industry in India. The results highlight the need to maintain ESG in order to remain competitive in a changing global industrial environment.
