Paper Title
Design and Implementation of Cloud-Based Financial Automation System for Indian Accounting and Compliance
Abstract
India’s Rs 16.1 billion accounting sector drives small and medium-sized enterprises and Chartered Professional Accountants (CPAs) but struggles with outdated tools and manual bookkeeping. A survey of CPAs highlighted four major issues: poor collaboration between CPAs and business owners, weak automation, inflexible software for diverse industries, and disconnected accounting-taxation systems, often causing missed Goods and Services Tax (GST) filing deadlines and reconciliation errors. There are already three popular softwares in the market named Tally Prime, Computax, and Zoho Books. However, these softwares does not address the above issues. So, based on the CPAs requirements, this paper proposes a cloud-based financial automation platform to address these challenges. The software is designed with a flexible, event-driven structure. It automates GST filing, reconciles errors, streamlines workflows, and adapts to varied businesses. The testing of the software shows that it supports real-time tracking and modularity. The deployment ofthe software on the cloud empowers CPAs as strategic advisors and enables SMEs to make clearer, smarter decisions with transparent records.
