Paper Title
Economic Conditions of Workers in the Organized and Unorganized Sectors: Challenges and Opportunities
Abstract
The economic conditions of workers are a critical indicator of social and industrial development. In India, workers are employed across organized and unorganized sectors, each facing distinct challenges and opportunities. This paper examines the economic status of workers, analyzing income levels, job security, access to social welfare, and living standards in both sectors. Using an analytical review of government reports, labour statistics, and scholarly literature, the study highlights disparities in income and benefits, identifies challenges such as informal employment and wage insecurity, and explores opportunities through skill development, policy interventions, and social protection schemes. The findings emphasize the need for integrated strategies that address inequalities, promote worker welfare, and enhance productivity, ensuring inclusive and sustainable industrial growth.
