Water Quality Monitoring RC Boat Using IOT
Abstract
This paper presents the design and development of a low-cost remote-controlled boat for real-time water quality monitoring. The system integrates pH, turbidity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) sensors with an ESP32-based control unit to measure important water quality parameters. The collected data is processed onboard and transmitted wirelessly for monitoring purposes. The proposed platform enables measurement at multiple locations within a water body, improving monitoring flexibility compared to conventional fixed monitoring approaches. The prototype was experimentally tested and demonstrated reliable sensor performance and stable remote navigation. The developed system provides a portable, economical solution suitable for environmental monitoring, academic research, and smart water management applications. Future improvements include GPS integration, cloud data logging, and autonomous navigation capabilities.
