RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN MICROPROCESSORS AND MICROCONTROLLERS WITH COMPARATIVE STUDY OF RISC V AND ARM PROCESSORS
Abstract
Microprocessors and microcontrollers form the foundation of modern computing and embedded systems. They support applications ranging from high performance computing and artificial intelligence to industrial automation and internet connected devices. Recent advances in processor design have been driven by the need for higher computational efficiency, reduced power consumption, improved security, and increased system integration. This paper reviews recent developments in microprocessors and microcontrollers and presents a comparative study supported by numerical and graphical analysis. A detailed comparison of RISC V and ARM processor architectures is also provided using established literature and IEEE references.
