A Review: Municipal Solid Waste Mangement of Indore

Abstract
Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) has become one of the major causes of pollution for Indore; it acts as an obstruction in the development of Indore. This study analyses the present practices of estimating and prognosticating of MSW by their characteristics, generation, collection and transportation, disposal and treatment technologies. The emphasis is to carry out the current status and diagnose the major problems. Determination of the amount and type of municipal solid waste and managing the waste so that it does not create pollution to environment is the best management system. With the modernisation in technologies the waste generation pattern is also changing, this study terminates with some suggestions which are beneficial for the authorities responsible for MSWM towards further improvement in preparing profitable methods.
