An Eclectic Decision for Selection of Aluminium Alloy for Aerospace and Automotive Industries
Abstract
Considering the mechanical properties of the materials, selection of suitable Aluminium alloy for aerospace and
automotive industries has been carried out using Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method. Different MCDM
techniques, namely Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP), Multi Objective Optimization Based on Ratio Analysis
(MOORA), COPRAS have been used in this study. AHP has been used for obtaining weight factors of the different
criteria�s, COPRAS and MOORA method has been used to find the best alternative of Aluminium alloy among the several
other alloys considered in this study.
