CMOS cum CNFET Based High Performance Differential Amplifier for Nanoelectronics
Abstract
Differential Amplifier is one of the versatile circuits in analog circuit design because of their straightforward
application and possibility of feedback to the input.The differential amplifier is often a building block or sub-circuit used
within high-quality integrated circuit amplifiers, linear and nonlinear signal processing circuits and even certain logic gates
and digital interfacing circuits. This paper presents the design of differential amplifier using CMOS and carbon nanotube
field effect transistors(CNTFETs).The key approach of the proposed design is to reduce the operating voltage, channel
length and to increase the Trans conductance. The paper also carries the significant comparisons between CMOS based
differential amplifier, CNFET based differential amplifier and CMOS cum CNFET based differential amplifier. All the three
circuits are simulated using HSPICE model of CMOS and CNFET.
