Hybrid Vernier

Abstract
In this paper we will focus on a measuring instrument called hybrid Vernier. It is a multi-purpose measuring instrument who works on the principle of Vernier and micrometer. This instrument can measure linear and angular both quantities for the linear measurement it gives accuracy of 1micron [0.001] and for the angular measurement it gives the accuracy of 5 minutes [5�]. It is also useful for the measurement of pipes, threads and gears. By the use of this instrument we can make inspection process easy, speedy and accurate. And we can eliminate the problems of commonly used instruments like smaller range, long calculations and time consuming. This instrument can became an alternative option of advance instruments and it can make our production process more efficient and economical.
