Capabilities of Speckled Computing in Data Sensing and Information Extraction
Abstract
Unsurpassed connectedness and the internet becoming more and more stronger comprising separate sub-networks
each connecting millions of devices between people and computing environments is effectively revamping everyday objects
and surroundings. With the evolution of Speckled Computing data sensing and information extraction and processing will be
carried out very swiftly within a fraction of second. Context-sensitivity and location-awareness is the world for tomorrow.
Specks which are just in a size of a semi-conductor grain and are autonomous and self-governing with their own renewable
energy source is helping to bridge the physical and virtual worlds.
Index Terms – Speckled Computing, Data sensing, and Information extraction.
I. INTRODUCTION
Spekled computing is treated as the future internet
and the it is assumed that the future IPV6 may
support more than 35 trillion sub networks and each
individual sub network may connect and
communicate with millions of devices and the world
is moving towards connectedness with people and
smart objects. [11].
a) Connectedness
Connectedness of various Specks through wireless
technology will lead to Speckled Networks or a
SpeckNet [7]. Primarily Specks are basically
programmable semiconductor devices communicated
through wireless and they can receive and process
data wirelessly. Specks and Specknets pledges of
providing the ultimate solution for ubiquitous
computing enabling associations between the material
and digital worlds with a finer degree of spatial
resolution than previously possible.
II. SPECKLED COMPUTING ARCHITECTURE
The below Figure 1 depicts the Speckled computing
Architecture, Individual Speck and SpeckNet
Architecture.
Speckled Computing is the ultimate of a new trend in
consumer electronics. As a result, when the
computing environments and wireless
communications infrastructures strike, a new class of
information machines will transpire. Specks are
integrated wirelessly to make an unique class of
WSN’s (Wireless sensor networks) and are sprayed
onto surfaces, buildings, etc. Primarily, Specknets
establishes the communication link between the
physical world of sensory data to the digital world of
computers. Daily interacting with the objects, the
surrounding environment, the people, can be
“Speckled”, to communicate and respond each other
