Paper Title
Yield Attributes and Yield of Rainfed Maize as Influenced by Nitrification Inhibitors
Abstract
Globally maize is known as queen of cereals because it has the highest genetic yield potential among the cereals. With the introduction of HYVs, the use of chemical fertilizers increased. Urea is most widely used fertilizers in India. Nitrogen is a major essential yield limiting nutrient in crop production Maize is an exhaustive crop. The process of urea hydrolysis and nitrification are major to control the nitrogen loss in the field conditions. The low productivity of maize during kharif season is attributed to a wide range of constraints including the low nitrogen use efficiency. This natural nitrification inhibitors are neem cake, karanj cake and Vitex negundo leaf powder coated urea @2.5% with adjuvants coal tar and castor oil 1% will slowing down the both urea hydrolysis and nitrification process there by improves the availability and will reduce to loss of nitrogen improves yield attributes and yield.
