Pharmacological Evaluation of 2-(Phenyl Hydrazino Methyl) Quinazolin-4(3h)-One for Anticancer Activity Focussed on Anti-Parp Activity
Abstract
Poly (ADP-ribosyl) polymerases (PARPs) are enzymes that catalyze the synthesis of the biopolymer Poly (ADP-ribose) (PAR), a post translational modification that plays an important role in genomic repair, gene transcription, energy metabolism, cell signalling etc.2-(phenyl hydrazino methyl) quinazolin-4(3H)-one, being NAD+ mimetics can act as PARP inhibitors, hence can be used as an anticancer drug. The compound is evaluated for its antiPARP activity and it showed significant anticancer property.
