Scope for Development of Horizontal Suspension Setup in Automotive Systems

Abstract
This paper presents an insight into the scope with regard to which the horizontal suspension system of an automotive (and therefore, its overall suspension system) has ground for enhancement. A faulty or imperfect suspension system could be a major cause of distress for the passengers involved. The life of the engine and the vehicle itself is significantly reduced with a poor quality of the suspension system. As such, it is imperative that proper care be taken during design of the suspension system. While various techniques have already been implemented in terms of coping with the vertical suspension of an automotive, there has been limited work done on the development of horizontal suspension of vehicles.
