Paper Title
Leadership and Organizational Culture for Sustainability: An Exploratory Research
Abstract
While sustainability is increasingly being recognized for its importance in organizations, there still exists a substantial lack of successful implementation of the same. One major reason could be that companies place higher importance to the technocentric and logistic issues, while research shows that it is the softer issues such as people, culture and leadership that make or break an organization’s sustainability initiatives. This work attempts to bridge the gap between a company’s decision to go sustainable and actually putting such practices in place work by using existing literature to bring forth and highlight the role of leadership and organizational culture in the successful implementation of corporate sustainability.
