Paper Title
Finite Element Analysis of Masonry Wall Subjected to Blast Loading
Abstract
This paper aims to numerically determine the dynamic response of masonry infill RC framed wall subjected to blast load. The numerical model developed using Finite Element (FE) Macro modelling tool was first validated with an experimental test. Later, parametric studies have been performed considering the effect of opening in the wall panel. The displacement and stress variations (with respect to time) were compared for wall having no opening and the wall panel having a window opening for 100 kg TNT of blast at standoff distances 20m, 30m and 40m respectively.
