Critical Success Factors of Work Engagement among Gen Y

Abstract
This study investigated the critical success factor of work engagement among Gen Y, namely career development, work environment, team work, leadership style and nature of working style. The methodology adopted in this study includes extensive review of literature on factors that contribute to work engagement, followed by questionnaire distribution and then the answers were process and statistically measured and analysed. The results of this study concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between leadership style followed by career development, teamwork, and work environment with work engagement respectively, whereas nature of working style has a significant negative relationship with work engagement. The practical implications of the study will be useful for organization to address the factors which influences work engagement to reduce high turnover among Gen Y employees.
