Automated Waste Management System for Stall Fed Goats/Sheep
Abstract
This paper presents an overview of the automation of the waste management system for the stall-fed goats/sheep farm. Due to huge rise in demand for the chevon and meat products all around the world, there has been increase in incorporation of the steroids and other unhealthy habits in-order to meet the demands. The main compromises are made in order to decrease the maintenance cost(fodder and vaccination) and labour cost. There are uncompromising effects on the consumers by the use of steroids and consumption of unhealthy meat products. In this project, focus has been made on improving the health and immunity of the goats/sheep which are raised through the stall-fed goat farm by maintaining a disinfected environment by installation of automated waste management system. The waste generated will be cleaned at regular intervals, providing a hygienic, odour and pest free environment. Waste will then be processed and can be utilised for various agricultural purposes. Thus, incorporating this system results in production of high-quality, disease-free meat and also reduces the labour and maintenance cost. This paper consists of the detailed design and working principle of the prototype.
